The Stockman is believed to be a scaled down version of the Cattleman pattern and shares similarities in the design. The Medium Stockman is the second largest of this pattern and comes with a main clip point blade and two auxiliary blades. This version comes with rugged and handsome Blue Denim Peach Seed Jigged Bone covers and polished Tru-Sharp blades.
Brand new directly from W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Co.
Blades:Â The Tru-Sharp stainless steel blades are finished in a bright polish and are each equipped with a generous nail nick for opening. This version comes with the traditional Stockman Trio: a long clip point main blade, with a Spey and Sheepsfoot blade as backup. All three come with a shallow hollow grind for optimal slicing performance.
Handle:Â The rugged Blue Denim bone covers are fit between two sets of polished nickel silver bolsters and have a great in-hand feel with Peach Seed Jigged texture for traction. The covers are attached with brass pins to brass liners in the traditional style. The front cover sports a Case Bombshell script shield while dual stainless steel back springs deliver smooth, simple and secure slip-joint operation.
Tru-Sharp Stainless Steel: Case’s proprietary version of 420HC. Stainless steel that provides excellent rust resistance, ease of re-sharpening and moderate edge retention while being exceptionally tough. With proper heat treat it is said to preform similarly to VG-10 in wear resistance.
