Boker’s corporate history can be traced back to 1674, when the tree was first entered as the company’s trade symbol for tools and is closely connected to the Bergisches Land and its iconic landmark, Castle Burg. In an act of historic preservation Boker has taken ancient solid oak planks being removed as part of an historic restoration and skillfully turned them into handle scales that can are being used in a limited series of Boker Schloss Burg traditional slip joint folder. In addition to the Oak scales, the Burg Castle (Schloss Burg) knives also feature brass liners and blades made from acid washed O1 carbon steel. These pieces are produced in limited edition runs of 1133 pieces worldwide, the year of completion of the castle.

This Castle Burg Stockman pattern has dual nickel silver bolsters, an acid washed O1 blade and Oak handles with Boker Tree shield.

Blade: This Solingen Stockman sports a single, long clip point blade executed in Acid Washed O1 carbon tool steel with a tradition nail nick and snappy, slip joint operation. The full flat grind makes this a very functional and utilitarian blade for users while collectors will be pleased with the visual appeal of the acid wash finish which also serves to prevent harmful corrosion. The lack of additional blades keeps this version slim and sleek making it an excellent collectors piece or functional dress carry option.

Handle: Dual, brushed nickel silver bolsters and Ancient Oak Wood scales are mounted to brass liners with stainless steel pins for a traditional handle has a great look and feel in the hand. This generously sized handle is built for serious use while retaining a beautiful aesthetic. The front scale is embellished with the Boker Tree Brand Shield while a stainless steel back spring delivers smooth yet snappy operation. Ancient solid oak is dense and weather resistant with a warm in hand feel and plenty of character.

O1 Tool Steel: Popular as a forging steel O1 tool steel is used by custom and production makers alike. Good edge stability, wear resistance, and toughness, O1 can reach 65HRC and works well with refined edge at high hardness for smaller knives.
